Life Cycle of a Pumpkin

After going over the pumpkin life cycle, perhaps through a story {Madonna suggests From Seed to Pumpkin and It’s Pumpkin Time!}, have students paste the cards in proper sequence on a paper plate. This hands-on activity is a great way to reinforce concepts learned.

Pumpkin Vine Measuring

Invite your kiddos to explore measuring with non-standard units – pumpkins! In each problem, students must use pumpkin cutouts to measure the vine on the page, determine how many pumpkins long it is, and select the appropriate numeral from the answer bank. Along with measuring, this is a great way to strengthen counting and number recognition skills as well.
