There Was A Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow!

Winter Literacy Emergent Reader Preschool Printable

There are lots of fun winter stories to share with your preschoolers – we especially love Lucille Colandro’s There Was A Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow! With its fun rhyming prose, your kiddos will have a great time trying to predict what the cold lady will swallow next and why. After reading the book as a class, check out this fun emergent reader created by Pam at Can Do Kinders.

Your students will have fun coloring the booklet and retelling the story over and over using their very own mini version of the book. Perhaps, you might also provide your kiddos with the “ingredients” from the book and invite them to make their own snowman!

Be sure to head on over to Can Do Kinders for this great download – and to the library for Colandro’s fun winter book!

      Hi Pam!

Just because winter can be dreary and “ho-hum” doesn’t mean classroom activities have to follow suit! We were super excited to stumbled across your emergent reader and knew our readers would want to check it out too :) Thanks so much for allowing us to share your creation – we definitely have your blog bookmarked for future visits!

      Have a great day,
      Kayla
